Livestock

With an increase in the length and severity of droughts in Australia, it is imperative that you as a livestock producer have the right stock watering system. This means that when your livestock need water they can access it without wasting time, energy or water.

Darling Irrigation supplies and installs all types of stock watering systems, whether it is a new project or an upgrade due to larger stock numbers. We carry a full range of water pumps, poly pipe and fittings, water troughs and water tanks. We also provide a full irrigation equipment delivery, installation and maintenance services.

Darling irrigation also handles large ‘cap and pipe the bore’ schemes funded partly by the government. These cap and bore schemes cover large areas of north western New South Wales and southern Queensland. Whether you are a small or large livestock producer, the team at Darling Irrigation can meet your stock watering requirements.

Untimely constraints and government pressure have resulted in adverse reactions to capping and piping artesian bores, especially when the costs of farming and running stock have skyrocketed. However, artesian bores remain in the forefront of resources we cannot afford to ignore if there is to be a future for some highly productive areas of eastern and southern Australia.

Since bores were first put down there has been a steady decrease in available artesian water. In the Great Artesian Basin some 1400 bores have ceased to flow; no wonder, considering nearly 90% of water flowing into bore-drains is lost due to evaporation and seepage.

With this in mind and understanding the pressure facing the men and women on the land, Darling Irrigation has designed a management system to perform and deliver specifically in the areas of piping bore water. Darling Irrigation provides a complete cap and bore system with specially trained field staff, project management and support to help get the job done. Since Darling Irrigation was established in Bourke 5 years ago, servicing the outback community has fashioned our awareness of logistics and management associated with the land.

Our keenness for development remains through recognising your needs, this is only achieved by delivering quality workmanship, support and affordable costs. During the later years Darling Irrigation has provided cap and bore services for throughout central and norther New South Wales. We have been successful in getting the results for all participants of these schemes through good communication and being proactive in bettering the prerequisites for future schemes.
